The Challenge
Victory Church, located in the heart of midtown Atlanta, sought to enhance its sense of community and fellowship while expanding its congregation beyond the confines of its physical church walls. With the construction of a new church home underway, Victory Church aimed to establish a presence and build connections in its soon-to-be-serving community. They envisioned a transformation and were determined to set a new standard in serving people of all ages and backgrounds. Victory Church reached out to Rizewell to help strategize and implement their vision, aptly named VICFIT, which sought to merge faith and fitness.
The Solution
With a passionate and fitness-oriented pastor at the helm, Victory Church tapped into its active members as a starting point. The partnership with Rizewell allowed them to leverage their existing wellness initiatives to attract more active adult and young adult members.
Working closely with Daron Cooper, the leader of the VICFIT initiative at Victory Church, Rizewell played a pivotal role in structuring the fitness program. This collaboration resulted in the assembly of an impressive team, including 8 fitness instructors and 12 staff members.
The monthly group fitness classes conducted in Piedmont Park gained immense popularity. What started with 50 sign-ups quickly surged to over 200, with more than 200 participants attending each session. Daron Cooper expressed, "In just a few months, we witnessed a significant boost in our membership and made a substantial footprint in Midtown Atlanta and the surrounding areas, all thanks to our commitment to health and wellness."
